Camp Sugarwood Registration  information


 
Camp Sugarwood offers several exciting events and summer camps that will engage people of all ages to experience God's abundant love and mercy. Below is a list of these opportunities to gather in His name for recreation, learning, prayer, adventures, service and renewing spirits. 

The camping experience changes lives! Camp Sugarwood believes that every person who wishes to attend a church camp should have the opportunity to do so. We do not want anyone to be prevented from attending camp because of finances. Scholarships are available. If you would like more information, contact Carrie Drees at cdrees23@gmail.com. If you are using a scholarship, registration must be done by using the downloadable registration forms listed below. 

Summer camps will be held in person at Cricket Holler during summer, 2023 except for Pieceful Quilting Camp which will be held at Bergamo Center. There are many types of camps being planned. Each camp has a poster telling about the adventures awaiting campers. Links to these posters are available by clicking on that camp in the list below. Printable registration forms are available (see below) to print off and mail along with your check to Carrie Drees at 12010 Greenville St Marys Rd., Versailles, OH 45380. 


Volunteers are a vital part of our camping and retreats ministries. Camp Sugarwood could not happen without the help of many qualified volunteers. All staff are trained in the Bible study curriculum, the care and safety of young people, and specialized activities. Leaders are carefully chosen to meet the needs of each age group and are trained to understand and follow the guidelines and procedures of the camping program of Camping and Retreat Ministry Summer Camps.  Lots of help is needed both in the kitchen and to counsel. Our Staff

Financial Assistance


Camp and Retreat costs cannot be eliminated. Camp expenses are quite high, especially for families with several children. Churches often help with these costs to offset the expense. Scholarships are also available. However some people are very reluctant to ask for scholarships due to many factors: pride, feeling unworthy, feeling others need the help more, several children in the family, and other unknown reasons. Many simply do not send their children or attend an event due to the high costs. Even with a bare bones budget and lower registration costs last year, camp and retreats have been unattainable for some. We are searching for ways to encourage  more people to participate in these different life changing experiences. 

The Camping and Retreat Ministry is seeking generous individuals an churches who would be willing to underwrite these expenses and help reduce the costs to all campers. With a lower cost per participant, it is hoped that many more people will find the camping and retreat opportunities affordable to their budgets.
